Jeff Guerin and The Community Blues Band

Roughly 100 years of blues experience comes together with this group of musicians from the Murfreesboro, Arkansas, area. The band draws on music from soulful blues to rowdy rockers providing audiences with their versions of classics by BB King, Lowell Fulson, Robert Johnson, Albert King, The Allman Brothers, Willie Dixon, Eric Clapton and Brook Benton. The Community Blues Band also have their share of solid original music.

Jeff Guerin leads the band on vocals and guitar. In 2001, Guerin teamed up with bass player Lawrence Snowden, singer/guitarist Lawrence "Whack" Snowden and the late Larry Johnson on drums to form one of the best blues acts in southwestern Arkansas.  After Johnson’s death in the summer of 2004, the band picked Darnell Williams to keep the beat. As Johnson’s protege’, the young Williams has filled the shoes quite well.

The Community Blues Band stays hard at work on the festival and club circuit performing their brand of classic blues and R&B along with originals penned by Guerin.  Guerin’s album credits include 2003’s Ain’t Nothing To It and 2004’s Pure.
